This article explains how to customise reporting grids so you can focus on the data you need and export the current view to Excel.
Customise and Export Report Views
Open Central Budgets.
Click Reporting in the left hand navigation menu.
Open the report view you want to use.
Adjust the grid layout using the options in the report view or the Columns panel.
Click Export when you are ready to download the current view.
Resize Columns
Click and drag the side of a column header to resize the column manually.
Double click the side of a column header to automatically fit the column to its contents.
Resize a column group to resize all grouped columns at the same time.
Change Column Order
Click and drag a column header in the data view.
Drop the column in the position you want.
Alternatively, open the Columns panel on the right hand side of the view.
Click and drag the handle next to the column name.
Drop the column in the position you want.
Change Column Visibility
Open the Columns panel on the right hand side of the view.
Select the checkbox next to a column to add it to the view.
Clear the checkbox next to a column to remove it from the view.
Select or clear the checkbox next to a main column group to show or hide the whole group.
Group Rows
Click and drag a column header to the grouping bar at the top of the grid.
Alternatively, open the Columns panel on the right hand side of the view.
Click and drag a column to the Row Groups section.
Review the grouped rows in the grid.
πNote: Some columns cannot be used to group rows.
Remove Row Grouping
Click the x next to the group name at the top of the view.
Alternatively, open the Columns panel on the right hand side of the view.
Click the x next to the group name in the Row Groups section.
Sort Report Data
Click a column heading in the data view.
Click the same column heading again to toggle the sort order.
Review the updated grid.
Export Report Views
Customise the report view using the columns, grouping, and sorting you need.
Click Export at the top of the view.
Open the downloaded Excel file locally.
πNote: The export uses the current view, including the selected columns and grouping settings.
