Access Education Links is a desktop companion that works with Access Education Budgets to help you save time and simplify key processes. This article explains how to download the companion from within Budgets, install it on your PC, and log in for the first time.
⚠️Important: We recommend that your IT support team carries out the installation, especially if you do not have permission to install software on your PC.
Download the Links Companion
In Access Education Budgets, click Launch Budgets App.
Click Academy or School, depending on your setup.
Click Download Access Education Links.
Your browser downloads the file AccessEducationLinks.exe. Once the download is complete, you are ready to install the companion on your PC.
If you already have an older version of the Links companion installed, you may be prompted to remove it during this process.
Install the Links Companion

Locate the AccessEducationLinks.exe file in your Downloads folder (or wherever your browser saves downloaded files).
Double-click AccessEducationLinks.exe to start the installer.
Click Next, then browse to the folder where you want to install the application (or accept the default location).
Click Next, then click Next again to confirm.
Click Close when the installation completes.
Log In to the Links Companion
On your desktop, double-click the Access Education Links icon to open the application.
If prompted, enter your Access Education Budgets login details and click to sign in.
📌Note: The first time you log in, a consent message appears asking for permission for the application to access your data. To allow Access Education Links to connect to your Budgets data, click Accept.
